2. Play for me in Cartagena meant sun, sand, sea (every day), fresh fish cooked right at the beach it was caught at, fun new friends, trips on boats to islands, playing music on terraces, iguanas and other animals making funny noises, and nights spent dancing or drinking fresh guayabana juice with a bit of rum in it. (Photo: I ate that fish!)

3. My host family I stayed most of the time with were really great- I must say that coastanos are a different, wonderful breed of people- open, honest, protective (especially the mothers) and so kind. Really the most kind people I have ever met. (Photo: Mary my hermanita)

4. You sometimes forget how easy it is to make friends while traveling- and then you realize, I have friends all over the world- thanks to la Costa, I now have friends in Montreal, Switzerland, Scotland, Spain...

5. Question: What do you get when you put two coconuts filled with cold drinks with a friendly local masseuse? Answer: (happy Corie and the left pic)

BARRANQUILLA

I took a trip on a sailing bus and when when I reached Barranquilla, I made a stop.
Cause I'm glad to say, I'm on my way... to Barranquilla.
Only stayed for two days.
My heart was up (because I worked with some sweet Batuta kids).
My head is turnin' around (because of the amazing hospitality from my friend's parents who I stayed with)
I had to leave a little love in that Coastal town.
